Denver Academy wanted interviews from their alumni to show the strength and success of their program. I was hired as camera operator to work on this project. The challenge with these videos was that all of them had to be in one location around the same time because of the time constraints of working with busy alumni, but they still all had to have some variation… We decided to shift around the room and use different artwork for each interview.
Shot on the HVX200a.
“A young man struggles against his father who refuses to cope with the foreclosure of the family farm.”
The American Dream. Developed and believed in for decades. But with the downward turn in the economy, is the dream dissipating? Is the dream nothing more than material pursuit? Andrew Wagner (30′s) drives to his father’s farm for the first time in years. Nolan Wagner (60′s) isn’t terribly excited to see Andrew either. Despite their distant relationship, Andrew knows he must step in to help his dad figure out the farm foreclosure, much to his father’s dismay. Yet through the loss of one dream, another is born.
Drum circles provide many health benefits and are fun to be a part of.
Above is a conference that took place for a corporate group, below is a promotional video specifically for a drum leader. Enjoy!
Commercial for Community College of Aurora Mass Casualty Exercise shot on four Sony EX 1′s, an EX 3 and a RED ONE on a 30 foot crane. I was on the EX 3 for the duration of the event and also had live wireless video feed hooked up to my camera for the governor and other politicians to watch in a video viewing tent.
7 shots in this commercial can be credited to James Drake Films!
This commercial aired on Comcast’s local Denver Channel between December 2009 and January 2010.
I had the opportunity to shoot a project with the Listen Foundation ( www.listenfoundation.org ). They have a phenomenal program helping hearing impaired children achieve normal lives through a technique called Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT). After recently sending a final cut of the project, the foundation president sent me a kind email:
…You put great effort into ensuring all facets of the program were covered, all the key players were interviewed, all our questions answered and issues addressed. You were willing to listen to our comments and make changes accordingly, but also add your own keen sense of what a video should be to ensure we had a professional product that we could be proud of. Working with you was very enjoyable – you offered great advice, were very flexible and patient, and made sure interim and final cuts were available for us to view, and added music that really underscored the mood that we were trying to create. You are clearly a great talent, and I wish you well in your future endeavors. Please feel free to use this as an endorsement of your efforts on our behalf and share it freely. You did a wonderful job for us, and I am very grateful.
